Have you ever...eaten wild cherries straight off the tree in a Swiss forest?
Switzerland is a dream destination, with pure mountain air, dark forests, rock-candy mountaintops and bright green glacial lakes that hundreds of spackle-white swans call home. Interlaken, Bern, and Lucerne define the word quaint with their river and lakeside settings, but don’t be fooled- Switzerland is also the adventure sports capital of Europe and you can bungee jump out of a cable car before settling down that night to a bowl of cheese and pickles. Wander off the beaten path and into any forested area and you will come across streams colored white from glacial flour, centuries-old pine trees carved with lovers’ names, and wild cherry trees whose juice will stain your lips and your soul.
