This trip can be as long as you want it to be, depending how far down the strip of land known as Baja California you want to go. One thing is for sure, you better bring your bikini because it’s all about the beaches, baby. And if you're an avid surfer or just want to learn, then this trip is perfect for you..
Highlights
Swim, sun, surf, slack, sigh, and sizzle on the beautiful Southern California beaches of Hermosa, La Jolla, Ocean and Pacific. Explore the unique eateries and bars of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter with new friends. Wave a giant foam finger at a Padres baseball game or hit up one of the fifteen museums in Balboa Park. Wander through epic gardens and make funny faces at pandas in the San Diego Zoo. Find Mexican handicrafts and other treasures in the border town of Tijuana, and then stuff your face with Ensenada fish tacos. End up at Coyote Cal's Hostel in Erendira, Cabo with a sombrero on your head, a margarita in your hand, and a silly smile across your face.

The trip from Los Angeles to San Diego takes 2 hours and can be reached by bus, train, car (Interstate 5) and various modes of public transportation. Along the way, you can visit LA’s southern beaches of Hermosa, Huntington and Long Beach and the northern San Diego beach towns of La Jolla, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach.
South of San Diego, you can cross the border to Tijuana or head further south into Baja California to the towns of Ensenada (85 miles), Erendira, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.
