Lunenburg, Nova Scotia isn’t just for people who want all the typical thrills that traveling is often known to provide. It’s for those who want to experience life in a place that has elegantly mixed the beauty and remnants of the past with contemporary architecture, natural scenic splendor and small-town hospitality.
Lunenburg, Nova Scotia lies south west of Halifax on the east coast of Nova Scotia. Nestled alongside Lunenburg Harbour, it is the site where the original historically famous Canadian ship the Bluenose was built, home port of the Bluenose II and is also home to the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. For those interested in scenic drives, the journey to Lunenburg can include miles of picturesque ocean-side sights. Some may even wish to follow the long winding roads to nearby Mahone Bay and then Peggy’s Cove, both of which are within a few hours’ drive of Lunenburg.
Situated alongside the Atlantic in one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada, Lunenburg embodies many of the characteristics that keep visitors coming back to the Canadian east coast. While visiting Lunenburg, you’ll find yourself immersed in the quaint and quiet serenity combined with the subtle excitement of a town that attracts many tourists every year. The lovely shops, charming restaurants, entertaining horse drawn carriage rides and fresh ocean air will leave you wanting to visit again and again.
