Arches National Park

Arches National Park contains over 2,000 arches ranging in size from 3 feet to over 300 feet. An underground salt bed, water, ice and extreme temperatures over the last 100 million years led to the formations seen in the park.  The park is located in Utah, 5 miles northwest of Moab. The visitor center is located just inside the entrance to the park along Highway 191.

Things to See & Do

Hiking and biking are the best ways to see the many Arches. There is a 22 mile scenic drive that stretches north from the park entrance up to Devils Garden Trailhead. The drive allows good access to the popular arches, which are accessible by foot from the road. Stop at the visitor center for guided and self-guided walking tours, hiking trails and activities.

Landscape Arch
The largest arch in the park spanning over 300 ft. At the end of the scenic drive, take the trail to Devils Garden. You will pass Landscape Arch and many others.

Delicate Arch
14 miles from the entrance, offers views of canyons and the Colorado River.

Fiery Furnace
Guided hikes are led by the park rangers 2 times/day through October. Reservations required. Due to the maze-like formations in this area, you cannot go without a ranger.
